Ocotillo Place’s nurse keeps a medical history for each of its residents as a supplement to the records of the resident’s physician. These records are private and securely stored, and used in the development of the care plan for residents receiving care services, as a cross reference to care plan changes, and in case of emergencies.

Supervisory Care is designed for active seniors who either need, or feel they will need, general supervision, including daily awareness of resident functioning and continuing needs, the ability to intervene in a crises and assistance in the self-administration of prescribed medications. This provides assurance that help will immediately be available in case of emergency, which creates an energetic environment full of friends, good food, and activity.

For residents requiring assistance with their daily living needs, professional licensed staff will be made available to provide personal care services . Our personal care services program offers an individualized program of assistance with activities of daily living (dressing, bathing, ambulation, etc.) including the coordination and provision of intermittent nursing services and the administration of medications and treatments as provided by law.

The Community provides direct care services for persons who are incapable of recognizing danger, summoning assistance, expressing need or making basic care decisions. Often these are individuals with dementia diagnoses requiring residency in a dementia specific unit. For more details, please consult with our Executive Director.

At Ocotillo Place, your monthly covers 3 meals per day plus snacks, all utilities except phone and cable TV, housekeeping and linen service, activity programs, transportation and additional common amenities such as guest dining room, library, pool table and activity room and much more.
Our Residency and Care Agreements are month-to-month and initial residency includes an entrance fee. A second resident in a given room is charged a substantially reduced rate. Care charges are based on each individuals care assessment and service plan and are a points-based fee system.

Our care giving staff is available in the building 24 hours per day. We have a full time LPN that is in the building 5 days per week or as needed and is on call 24 hours per day if an emergency arises.
