The Foundation of a Vision (1991–1996)

The story of CarePartners Senior Living began long before our first community opened its doors. In the early 1990s, our founder, Bill Moore, began his career at the intersection of architectural design and senior care. It was during this formative time—designing interior environments for Assisted Living and Memory Care across the Pacific Northwest—that his core philosophy for our organization took shape.

He didn’t just see floor plans; he saw the people living within them. He recognized that for an older adult living community to be successful, it had to balance two critical needs: the specialized care expertise required for safety and a “community of friends” environment required for the human spirit to thrive.

Growth Rooted in Stewardship (1996–2008)

In 1996, fueled by a commitment to “own what we do,” Bill formed the investment and development groups that would eventually become the foundation of Round Lake LLC. Unlike large corporate chains, our growth was intentional and regional. We focused on Western Washington, ensuring that our leadership remained locally present and deeply connected to the families we serve.

By 2008, a milestone was reached with the acquisition of the CarePartners Management Group. This union brought together an elite team of senior living professionals—experts in care oversight, resident experience and solid financial management. This was the moment our vision was set: to provide a world-class continuum of care that prioritizes aging in place.

While certain medical needs may occasionally require a transition to specialized hospice or skilled nursing care, our mission remains to provide the comprehensive support and care expertise necessary to ensure that for the vast majority of our residents, their first move to a CarePartners community is their only move.

Decades of Stability and Success (2008–Present)

Today, CarePartners Senior Living is known for being an innovative, reliable presence in care for older adults. With a growing portfolio of more than 30 communities across Washington and Arizona, we have evolved from a local management team into a premier regional provider of independent living, assisted living and memory care.

Our history is marked by the development of our signature brands:

  • Vineyard Park: Designed for independent or assisted-living older adults who value their independence but seek the security of a supportive, professional environment.
  • The Cottages: Our industry-renowned “small-house” model that offers a cozy, intimate alternative to institutional care for those with memory care needs such as Alzheimer’s and dementia.
  • Select Option Communities: Accessible-to-all, high-quality care and vibrant communities for seniors with more immediate financial constraints or those seeking direct Medicaid admission.

Why Our History Matters

We are more than just business; we are a family-founded organization with a deep, long-term commitment to the communities we serve. Our success is built on the belief that senior living should be a partnership. We have navigated the complexities of the industry for more than 30 years so that you don’t have to travel them alone.

When you choose a CarePartners community, you are choosing:

  • Unrivaled Expertise: Tenured leadership who understand how the industry has grown and changed since the early 90s.
  • Financial Clarity: Innovative programs like our Medicaid Spend-Down, designed to protect continuity of care and community even when financial circumstances shift.
  • Pride of Independence: Environments curated to foster independence and social vitality, ensuring every resident feels like an active member of a community, not solely a recipient of care.

We are proud of our past, but even more dedicated to your future. At CarePartners, we invite you to join a legacy of excellence where dignity is a right, safety is a guarantee and your family’s peace of mind is our greatest achievement.
